Sentrys Discovery
The Sentry gives a great metaphor of antigone. The metaphor the sentry used to compare to Antigone was a bird. "And she cried out a sharp, piercing cry, like a bird come back to an empty nest, peering into its bed, and all the babies gone." It reveals Antigones more fierce side. She gives more emotion then you think she does, and is, in fact, a very strong couragous character, but thats not how you first view her. Its important for the course and development of the play because it shows her true self, and what she is going to turn into. It displays how her ferocity and anger will change the course of events.
