Pity and fear

Antigone and Creon both create the emotions of pity and fear to me, but Creon presents me with more.  I believe that Creon has had many tragic flaws and the whole idea that he realized every death was basically his fault, makes my empathy for him even bigger.  Antigone on the other hand doesn't realize anything.  She is depressed to begin with, therefor there isn't much for her to lose, nor much for us to feel bad for about her.  The biggest thing that poles me to feel pity for Creon is that he feels ashamed about everything to the point where he doesn't want to live anymore.  He feels like everyone suffered from him and that Thebes woun't be able to recover from his mistakes.  Antigone solved all of her problems by killing herself so i don't feel anything for her because herpirit no longer exists.  Creon takes the full hit of the curse which makes me feel both pity and fear for him and his future.  All of his family is dead, and all of the people of Thebes probably hate him.  I have a pretty good guess of what that feels like, and it isn't a good feeling.  Whenever i hear his name "Creon", is makes me feel sad and reminds me of his broken spirit, the loss of hope, and a the fall of an empire.
