The Stereotypical Lives of Antigone and Ismene

Antigone and Ismene are two very different type of women. Ismene confines within the stereotype for women, portrayed as weaker and less powerful than men. Antigone on the other hand, is rebellious, and willing to stand up for what she believes in. Both Katniss and Antigone are strong women in my opinion; they fight to protect their rights and traditions. In Antigone, men and women follow both of their stereotypical gender roles, but I see that the districts in the Hunger Games are the women with no power, and the Capitol being the men, with all the power.

  1. I like the comparison you did between both Antigone and Katniss.
