Main controlling theme
In The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare there is one overruling theme of the play. The overruling theme is everyone will be tamed at some point in time, eventually you will become repudiate. Wether it is by old age, another human or just nature you will always be tamed. One specific example from the play is when Kate was actually tamed. This is an example because Kate didn't want to be tamed and fought her hardest, she probably fought harder than anyone else would to not be tamed but it still happened. This theme works for Antigone also because it suggests that play it proves that everyone is tamed at one point
